As promised yesterday by Xiaomi it reveals the plans to launch Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 in India. The unique feature of this Phablet is its MediaTek processor after the lawsuit filed by Ericsson against the company for patent infringement in 2014. Last year Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was launched in China with price tag of 899 Yuan (Rs. 9,300).
The launch date of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is not yet announced. Xiaomi is looking for first ‘100 explorers’ getting firsthand experience the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. The explorers will be get 100 missions to participate and top-100 explorers will win the Phablet. The people on mission stand a chance to win a Mi Band for every successful mission.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 features a full-metal unibody design and another premium specification in the company’s portfolio is a fingerprint scanner. The fingerprint sensor is ultra-fast capable of unlocking the device in 0.3 seconds embedded below the rear camera.

It will be a big event for Xiaomi to launch Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 launch in India. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has two features (MediaTek processor and fingerprint sensor) which are firsts any Xiaomi device. The infringement lawsuit in 2014 was filed by Ericsson against Xiaomi in matter of Swedish company’s Standard Essential Patents for wireless technology standards like GSM, Edge and 3G. Xiaomi was only eligible to market smartphones that were powered by Qualcomm’s chipset after the court case.
Last month Xiaomi entered into a patent licensing agreement with Qualcomm that include Qualcomm’s 3G, 4G patents including 3-mode (LTE-TDD, TD-SCDMA and GSM). The agreement has been the incentive to Xiaomi for launching the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 in India.
